TAG 2019 @UCL-IoA: Call for Papers
10 June 2019
The UCL Institute of Archaeology will organise the 41st annual Theoretical Archaeology Group (TAG) Conference in December 2019 for which the Call for Papers is now open.
This year's TAG conference theme, 'Power, Knowledge and the Past' is intended to be broad and topical, emphasising both current debates about ontologies and ideologies in past societies, and the role of knowledge about the past in contemporary political narratives.
Call for Papers
The Call for Papers is now open, until 2 September 2019. Paper proposals should be sent to session organisers, using the details provided for each session; in most cases, this will require an abstract of up to 250 words (but note that some sessions have specific alternative requirements).
Registration
Registration for the conference will open in July, and all contributors to the conference will need to register. Please note that, as university accommodation will not be available, booking accommodation locally early is advisable; there is a lot of varied accommodation available near UCL, and a list of suggestions will be added to the TAG2019 website in July.
