Job Vacancy: Executive Assistant to AHRC Heritage Priority Area Leadership Fellow (Maternity Cover)

The UCL Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for an Executive Assistant (Ref.: 1771319). The deadline for applications is 12 December 2018.
An Executive Assistant (maternity cover) is sought to support the AHRC Heritage Priority Area Leadership Fellow, Rodney Harrison, and play a key role in the running and administration of associated research grants, projects, events and activities.
A significant aspect of the role involves event planning, co-ordination and management, including academic conferences, symposia, workshops and other similar activities. Managing busy diaries, coordinating meetings, leading on projects and supporting team colleagues are amongst the primary aspects of the post.
The post also has significant responsibilities in relation to communications and media support, updating websites, supporting aspects of social media communications and providing support for the Heritage Priority Area Leadership Fellow in print, online and broadcast media responsibilities.
The post is available for 6 months initially but may be extended.
The successful candidate will be educated to A-Level or have equivalent work experience. They will have the ability to manage a busy and complex electronic diary and to service meetings, including the preparation of agendas and minute taking. They will also have experience working in a senior PA or administrative role within higher education or a research organisation. Experience of organising, managing and co-ordinating events is essential.
