An archaeology degree can open doors to all kinds of careers, and at the University Archaeology Day 2022 you can find out everything you need to know about studying this exciting subject.

UCL archaeologists worked with experts from 24 other universities to create the UK's first University Archaeology Day in 2017, aimed at inspiring a much needed next generation of archaeologists. The event now takes place annually with this year's University Archaeology Day being held at the British Museum, and online, on 5 November.

Join the hybrid University Archaeology Day 2022 for a day of lectures, seminars, careers talks, meet and greets and more! This free event is designed for prospective students, teachers and parents to learn about the many degree programmes on offer across the UK, to discover the huge range of career opportunities that an archaeology degree can lead to, and to hear about some of the latest archaeological research.

Most of the top archaeology departments will be represented, along with a range of organisations that promote the subject and employ archaeology graduates. There will also be a full programme of talks and activities covering application tips, careers advice, and a wide range of archaeological topics including some of the latest finds and cutting-edge research.

Archaeology is a very broad subject that combines arts, humanities and sciences and is great for developing a mixture of academic and practical skills. Join the University Archaeology Day 2022 to find out what an archaeology degree can do for you!

Due to the RMT strikes on 5 November we will have less Universities and Archaeological Organisations in the British Museum so have taken the decision to host the panel events (with each university discussing their degrees / taking questions etc.) online. You can access the online events from home or at the British Museum.
