History:Okasha/Forsyth/2001, 244: `The stone was found in the summer of 1944 during excavation at the site .. It was a stray find from the rubble around stone no. 40 (the East Cross) [TOURP/8] .. During September to December 1944 the east wall of the church was rebuilt, incorporating many of the inscribed stones, including this one. The stone has remained there since'.

CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The A is in the 'OC' form and the L and D both have wedge-shaped finials atop their ascenders. The L is curved and the D has an ascender which bends to the left over an open bow. The F has a top stroke that bends downwards at the end and an elongated horizontal stroke. It is very similar in form to Fs found on CRACH/1, GUER/1, LGUID/1 all from the Morbihan in Brittany. TOURP/12, is very similar in form, while TOURP/2, TOURP/3, TOURP/41, TOURP/46, TOURP/47 are similar except for the lack of the elongated horizontal stroke.
