History:Okasha/Forsyth/2001, 258: `The stone was found in the summer of 1944 during excavation at the site ... It was a stray find from the rubble around stone no. 40 (the East Cross) ... During September to December 1944 the east wall of the church was rebuilt, incorporating many of the inscribed stones, including this one. The stone has remained there since'.

CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The As are in the 'OC' form, the initial S in in the half-uncial rather than majuscule form and the B has a slightly curved ascender and an open bow. The D has an ascender which bends to the left over an open bow before curving back to the right at the top. The final R is half-uncial, with a horizontal 'foot'.
