History:Macalister/1945, 107: `Found in 1826 in the entrenchment of an old burial-ground on this townland: obtained from the finder, a man named McCarthy, by Mr. Paul Horgan, of Carrigagulla, in the neighbourhood, from whom it passed through Windele's mediation in 1835 to the Royal Cork Institution, and thence found its way to the British Museum'.
