Palaeography:CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The A is in the 'OC' form and the Ds and I have wedge-shaped finials. The Ds also have ascenders which bend to the left over an open bow. The Rs are half-uncial, and the initial O is more rounded than that on the second line.
