Palaeography: | CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The D with an ascender that bends ot the left over an open bow has a wedge-shaped finial. The Rs are half-uncial as is the G and the T with a curved ascender and a flat top-stroke. The Es are in the open uncial form and the second example has an extended horizontal stroke. The B has a vertical ascender and an open bow. The L is curved. The minuscule A of the second line has an accent over it. |
