History:First mentioned in Petrie/1872, 62, with no record of the stone having been found by either Petrie or Graves. The stone was, presumably therefore, first noticed by Margaret Stokes herself.

Palaeography:CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. The minuscule H has a wedge-shaped finial stop its ascender. The T has a curved ascender and a flat top-stroke, while the top of the I is serifed.
