Decorations: | geometric key pattern; geometric spiral Higgins/1987, 338: `It bears an elaborate, three-line Greek cross. The cross has a central roundel and four semi-circular, expansional terminals, all of which are decorated. The upper-most terminal bears a pair of conjoined spirals originating from a single stem, this design is repeated in the lower terminal. Those of the ends of the arms each have a meandering pattern and a row of small pellets. The central roundel bears a pattern based on a cruciform design, interlocking in the centre, the lines of which form an enclosing circle with an indentation at four points. A pair of parallel lines form a trapezoidal frame around the whole composition'.

Palaeography: | Higgins/1987, 338: `...in the upper left cantons there is a well-cut half uncial inscription'. CISP: The B has an open bow and a vertical ascender topped with a wedge-shaped finial; the E is majuscule and rounded with an elongated middle stroke that itself has a wedge-shaped finial; the G is almost J-shaped and the A is in the `OC' form and has an accent over it. |
