Macalister/1945, 243--244, `Also reported by Matthew Casey, as being an inscription on the lintel stone of a souterrain...it has, however, never been seen since Windele and possibly Hitchcock examined it. On enquiry, I found that there was a tradition of a souterrain having been formerly in the town-land, on the farm of one Cronin, but that it had been destroyed and the site ploughed up'.
