White/Smith/1999, 130--145, provides a full description of the excavated early medieval cemetery on this site. More than 100 inhamated burials were excavated, although no skeletal material and no grave goods or even coffin nails survived. The cemetery included a roofed building of c. 3.4m square of `walk-in' height.
