Amara Thornton and Caitlin O'Grady (UCL Institute of Archaeology) will introduce a screening organised by the Institute's History of Archaeology Research Network on 22 November.

The screening will consist of two short colour films of excavation and conservation at Verulamium (St Albans, Hertfordshire), recently digitised through the Filming Antiquity project.

"The Excavation of Timber Buildings at Verulamium" and "Lifting a Mosaic Pavement" capture post-war British excavation, public archaeology and museum practices, and reveal the creative decisions behind the interpretation of the site for the public on film.

All welcome!

Any enquiries about the event may be directed to Amara Thornton.
