Call for Papers: Current Research in Egyptology XV

Current Research in Egyptology

The 15th Current Research in Egyptology conference will be held at UCL and KCL in April 2014 for which a call for papers is announced with a deadline of 15 November 2013.

The conference organisers welcome postgraduate, independent and early career researchers studying ancient Egypt and Sudan, including the prehistoric/predynastic, Pharaonic, Late, Graeco- Roman and Islamic periods to submit an abstract for a 20-minute presentation or an A0 poster.

Themes may include, but are not limited to: architecture, art history, ceramics, cultural and foreign interaction, current fieldwork, geoarchaeology, material culture, museum studies and site management, osteoarchaeology, philology, religion, state development, trade and economy, and zooarchaeology.

Abstracts should consist of no more than 200 words and should be submitted by 15 November 2013 to crexvlondon+abstracts@gmail.com.

Participants are requested to include the following information in their email submission:  Name & title, email address, abstract & title of paper, and affiliation (if not currently affiliated please indicate that you are an ‘independent researcher’).

Current Research in Egyptology (CRE) XV is sponsored by the Egypt Exploration Society, the Friends of the Petrie Museum, the UCL Institute of Archaeology and KCL's Department of Classics.
