Archaeology's Green Impact

The Institute is marking Fairtrade Fortnight and also Climate Week and is encouraging staff and students take part in a number of campaigns and data gathering exercises.

The Institute of Archaeology takes green issues seriously and the Archaeology Green Team works to encourage environmental sustainability within UCL.

The Institute received a bronze green impact award for the department in 2012 and a gold award for the conservation and environmental labs.  The Archaeology Green Champions and other Green Team members are currently working towards a silver department award.

  • A book sale will be held at the Institute on Wednesday 6 March from 10am-4.30pm in the Staff Common Room (609)
  • Further information will be available from the Archaeology Green Team at the sale about the Institute's printing and photocopying footprints, our heating and electricity use and our travel footprint while you can also learn how to cancel your JUNK mail
  • Join the 'stationery amnesty' and return your unused stationery to the General Office or the Staff Kitchen for reuse
