Job Vacancy: Professor of British Later Prehistory

UCL wishes to appoint a Professor of British Later Prehistory (Ref.:1226450) to contribute to research and teaching at the Institute of Archaeology. The deadline for applications is 17 February 2012.

The appointee will undertake research of the highest international standards within the field of British Later Prehistory, making an important contribution to the research profile of the Institute of Archaeology. The appointee will have a significant role in teaching in this field at undergraduate and Masters levels and will be expected to supervise relevant PhD and Masters dissertations.

The appointment is available from 1 September 2012.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have an international research reputation in the field of British Later Prehistory and have a strong record of research leadership, including fieldwork. They should also have a track record in teaching and supervision at all levels from undergraduate to PhD. Evidence of involvement in knowledge transfer and/or public engagement activities is also expected.
