This photo shows the sun rise on the final week of an evaluation I ran in Hertfordshire (you can see some of the trenches on the hill opposite). To me, each site is a journey. While we may have a vague idea of the final destination, the route that we navigate is unknown until we travel it.

This picture shows the excavation of trench 1 and trench 3 of the Uzbek- American Expedition in the Bukhara, almost at the end of this season, where we found the Wall . This site is a remarkable demonstration of the process of urban development of Bukhara city. And a documentary was filming the excavation site when the picture was taken.
