7 July 2017

This summer ASE archaeologists contracted to excavate at the Brighton Dome discovered the burials of several skeletons, which could be identified as early members of Brighton's Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers.

Interview: We hear from the Archaeologists carrying out excavations at the newly-found Quaker burial site

Here you can find the interview with some of the key members of staff who worked on the Brighton Dome excavations: Darryl Palmer (Assistant Director, Head of Fieldwork & Survey), Garrett Sheehan, and Dr Paola Ponce. This was a fascinating discovery and one of the rare instances where skeletons can be directly associated with a particualr group within a larger population.
