Multidisciplinary cognitive rehabilitation clinic
at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

A multi-disciplinary clinic for patients with acquired brain injury causing cognitive impairment (e.g.: problems with thinking skills, memory, language). We see patients with any cause of brain injury e.g.: stroke, head injury, hypoxia, encephalitis, MS; but not dementia.

The clinic offers:

  1. Assessment by: a neurologist, a neuropsychologist, an occupational therapist and a speech and language therapist.

  2. Rehabilitation: we consider patients for in-patient therapy but most (90%) are managed as out-patients, often by liaising with local community rehabilitation teams.

  3. Access to NHNN specialist services: where appropriate, we may involve other specialist teams at the NHNN e.g.: specialist upper-limb clinic, neuropsychology, vocational therapy.

Referrals accepted from any NHS doctor in the UK.
Choose-and-book booking service available for direct GP referrals.
