Online course

Join our free online course ‘An Anthropology of Smartphones: Communication, Ageing and Health’. The course is designed for people who are interested in understanding how the use of smartphones has changed our lives, as well as students keen to explore the contribution of anthropology to digital technologies. You can take this self-guided course and learn at your own pace. On every step of the course you can meet other learners, share your ideas and join in with active discussions in the comments with expert facilitators from the ASSA project. Ebooks

The ASSA eBook series is based on ethnographies which have been conducted over 16 months in Israel, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, China, Ireland, Italy, Japan and Uganda. They are all free to download and have been translated into the languages of our fieldsites.
