Zinie Zhang’s research is a response to increasing reports of racist incidents and racialized discrimination against members of UCL’s large body of students of Chinese and other East and South East Asian (ESA). The work was initiated by UCL Students’ Union, in conjunction with SHS and IoE. The study seeks in-depth insight into the ESA student group in order to contribute to UCL’s efforts to improve their experience at UCL and to combat manifestations of racism on campus.

Discussion with filmaker Wen Huang and Zinie Zhang, author of the report Chinese, East Asian and South-East Asian Student Experience Project (Funded by: Students’ Union UCL)
