 Tsetsegjargal Tseden

Dr. Tsetsegjargal Tseden is the head of the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the National University of Mongolia. She also received her B.A., M.A. and PhD degrees in anthropology from the same Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the National University of Mongolia in 1998, 1999 and 2009, respectively. Since 1999, she has been teaching courses in sociocultural anthropology and gender studies. In combination with her research focus on gender issues in Mongolia, she founded the Center for Gender Studies in 2006. She had recently conducted a comparative study of Korean and Mongolian women's movements at the Seoul National University (2010-2011). She has published a book on Mongolian women's history (2009) and is currently preparing a book on Mongolian women's oral history in the Mongolian socialist era. She can be reached at tgl@num.edu.mn
