I am an academic paediatrician with interests in viral and bacterial infection of vulnerable young children, particularly immune responses and treatment of HIV infection. As well as antibiotic stewardship in paediatric intensive care, I am also interested in how the design of the hospital environment can help or hinder infection control. I also have a growing interest in the host microbiome and the impact of antibiotic treatment.
