ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 - Applications are now managed by UBEL-DTP

Open to applicants who have completed their PhD at a UK research organisation and who have less than 12 months of active postdoctoral experience from passing their viva voce to the competition closing date. Your proposal can be from a single discipline or a combination of disciplines, but social sciences must make up at least 50% of your fellowship activities.

Previously, the department had requested Expressions of Interest by 28 February 2025. However, as ESRC have moved their deadline forward this year, applications will be fully managed by the Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) for 2025. The deadline for preliminary applications is 16 January 2025. Further details can be found on the UBEL DTP website. Even though there will be no formal process run by the Institute this year, you are strongly encouraged to contact a potential mentor within the Institute as early as possible so that they can support you with your application.
