Dr María de Vecchi writes chapter for book on disappearances in Mexico

Forced disappearances is a tragic phenomenon in Mexico. According to recently released governmental data, more than 98,000 persons were disappeared or not found in Mexico, to Mars 2022. Disappearances have occurred in the country since at least the late 1960s, with the vast majority of them still unpunished. Our alumna Dr María de Vecchi, a researcher in the matter, wrote the chapter 'Memorialising absence | Memorials to the disappeared in Mexico' in the book 'Disappearances in Mexico.
