Dr Paulo Drinot promoted to Professor of Latin American History

We warmly congratulate our colleague Paulo Drinot on his recent, well deserved promotion to Professor of Latin American History at UCL Institute of the Americas. Paulo's main research focus is the history of Peru in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His thematic interests include labour history and state formation, racism and exclusion, gender and sexuality, the social history of medicine, and memory and historiography. Professor Drinot is currently the Director of Research at UCL Institute of the Americas and Faculty Graduate Tutor at the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences.
