The UCL IA US Foreign Policy and National Security Seminar series is a new seminar series that will be running throughout the year at the UCL Institute of the Americas, 51 Gordon Square, London. The objective of the series is to engender discussion and debate with both students and the wider public, regarding a broad mix of both contemporary and historical US Foreign Policy and National Security issues. The programme will encompass a series of panels and roundtable discussions, by leading scholars in the field.

Our second seminar, “The Evolution of US Hegemony from Obama to Trump” will be on Monday, 18th of November, 2019, at the UCL Institute of the Americas, 51 Gordon Square, London, WC1H 0PN.

Roundtable Speakers:

Dr. Zeno Leoni, Teaching Fellow at King’s College London, author of the forthcoming monograph titled American Grand Strategy from Obama to Trump: Imperialism after Bush and China's Hegemonic Challenge, to be published by Palgrave in late 2020

Dr. Luca Trenta, Lecturer in International Relations at the Department of Political and Cultural Studies, Swansea University, author of Risk and Presidential Decision-making, The Emergence of Foreign Policy Crises, (2016)
