We're here to support our thriving alumni communities across the globe. But they wouldn't exist without the ongoing and invaluable support of our volunteers.
Supporting international community events
From alumni clubs, to social get-togethers, to networking nights – you can help out with all sorts of UCL alumni events across the world. You’ll work closely with the event organiser and can use your individual skills in lots of different ways – marketing, front of house or even sourcing speakers for events.
Time commitment: 3 hours per week minimum
Supporting our shared interest networks and events
If you belong to a community or share a specific interest or passion, there are lots of local and international UCL alumni networks that need your support. You’ll work alongside the network organiser to help out in a number of different ways based on your skillset. This could be general marketing, answering questions on social media or even speaking at an event.
Currently we host:
- BME Network
- LGBTQ+ Network
- London Group
- UCL Boat Club
Time commitment: 3 hours per week minimum
Organising a reunion
Reconnect with your classmates and share what you’re up to now by organising a reunion. Whether it’s your first get-together or your twentieth, our alumni team are here to support you with anything you need – be it picking the right venue, advertising via email or social media, or just tips for making your reunion a success.
Time commitment: 3 hours per week in lead up to the event
Telling us your story in a case study
We love to shout about your positive alumni experiences so completing a testimonial for UCL is a great way to volunteer without an ongoing commitment. Plus, it means we get to celebrate your story while you join our ever-growing list of brilliant volunteers. Just submit your alumni testimonial online and we’ll do the rest. Your answers will be securely stored, and don’t worry, you’ll always be contacted before they are used.
Time commitment: 1 hour
