Join the UCL New York Alumni Club for a "fireside chat" and Q&A with the Co-Directors of the UCL Centre on US Politics, chaired by UCL alum and on-air Reporter and Producer for Bloomberg Television, Ritika Gupta.
We will ask: is it still possible to have informed and inclusive debate on difficult issues in the US, the UK, and globally? While concerns about partisan and social divides are real, the time has never been more urgent for rebuilding civic trust in each other and in our institutions. Open dialogue is not only desirable, but crucial for grappling with the complex challenges facing the West, from foreign policy threats posed by Russia and China, to concerns about the future of democracy.
At the UCL Centre on US Politics (CUSP), scholars are working with students, alumni, and policymakers to foster civic literacy, critical conversations, and public engagement, while offering nuanced, nonpartisan analysis that tackle today's most pressing political questions.
Book your place to connect with our academic guests, and enjoy catching up with alumni over drinks and food in this calm, airy loft space above the bustling streets of SoHo.
This event will take place on Wednesday 29 March, 6:00-8:00pm (EDT).
