Join the UCL Recent Graduates Network USA Co-Lead volunteers for this virtual event, designed to support you to succeed in your professional life after UCL. 

The event will open with a "fireside chat" featuring a diverse and inspiring alumni panel. Speakers include:

  • Houston based Dr May Akrawi, Manager, US Strategy at Deloitte and UCL Friends and Alumni Association (UCLFAA) Board member
  • Vita Khosti, Senior Planner at Antero Group in Chicago
  • Dariusz Jakubowski, Head of Community at Atmos Labs Inc, a start up in the block chain space

Following this panel and Q&A, you will have the opportunity to network online with other recent graduates living and working across the US.

About the Speakers

Dr May Akrawi (UCL MPhil Biochemistry 1995, BSc 1988)

Manager, US Strategy at Deloitte

An emerging and disruptive tech specialist, May is passionate about entrepreneurship, mentoring, and community volunteering. May’s career began in academia as a Research Assistant at UCL, includes a decade with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office as HM Consul, Science and Innovation in Texas, success with energy transition in the Oil & Gas industry and international climate change and sustainability, and a move to Deloitte leadership in 2021.

Vita Khosti (UCL MSc Urban Design and City Planning 2016)

Vita Khosti is an urban planner/designer with five years of experience working on various projects in the UK and US. After completing a Masters’ degree at UCL, she worked on historic preservation, planning policy, and masterplan design. Vita moved to Chicago from London in 2020, bringing her UK professional experience to a US context. 

Dariusz Jakubowski (UCL MSc Digital Anthropology 2016)

Head of Community at Atmos Labs Inc

Dariusz is a cryptocurrency community builder with six years' experience leveraging qualitative research methods in the blockchain technology space. After completing his Master's at UCL, Dariusz focused his attention on a gap he saw in an emerging sector: the human side of cryptocurrency. A proud Chicagoan, he's lived in the windy city for most of his life.
