Seminar by Prof Nicolas Chopin at UCL AI Centre

The UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence hosted a seminar on Bayesian computation by Nicolas Chopin, Professor of Statistics at ENSAE, Paris, this week.

In his talk, entitled "Saddlepoint Monte Carlo and its application to vote carryover in French elections", Prof Chopin presented his recent research on using this method in analysis of voting.
Preceded by lunch and networking, the event included staff and students from UCL as well as attendees from universities in the UK and several countries, and industry. Prof Chopin met with staff and students during the afternoon to discuss his research further and answer their questions.
The talk was part of the UCL AI Centre Seminar Series and run jointly with ELLIS.
