Eid celebration lunch at UCL AI Centre
4 April 2025
Yesterday, UCL Computer Science hosted its first-ever departmental Eid celebration at the AI Centre in Holborn, marking the end of Ramadan and celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

The event, organised by Anna Widdup, featured an insightful talk by Safia Chaudhary on the significance of Ramadan and Eid. After the talk, we enjoyed a delicious Lebanese lunch and participated in creative calligraphy and henna activities.
It was a wonderful afternoon of learning, connection, and celebration. A big thank you to Mahmoud Abdelrazek and Hamza for their help with the Arabic calligraphy, to all who helped on the day, and to UCL Computer Science EDI Committee for supporting inclusive events and strengthening the sense of community within our department.
