Knowledge Exchange Associate
Bridget has been a registered hospital pharmacist for 26 years and completed a PhD in Health Informatics from the Centre for Health Informatics and Multiprofessional Education (CHIME) at UCL. Her doctorate centred on shared care, specifically patient self-care, and examined one area of self-care in depth - self-monitoring of oral anticoagulation therapy.
As a Knowledge
Exchange Associate, she is working with Helicon Health. Helicon is
developing an integrated package of software, education programmes and
consulting services with the aim of improving chronic disease management. Central to their strategy is the
development of distance learning courses for long-term conditions, with a
particular emphasis on shared care and patient centred care. Bridget is developing
these two components of Helicon Health’s educational programme.
