About the Speaker

Oren Penso

Oren Penso is the Global Field CTO and Director of Product Strategy at VMware Tanzu, specializing in cybersecurity and cloud-native technology. With over 20 years of experience in infrastructure technologies, he has held senior positions at system integrators and in the financial industry. Previously, he served as Field CISO, developing go-to-market strategies, and as Senior Product Line Manager, leading teams to deliver advanced runtime security features. As Technical Lead for Emerging Solutions, he played a crucial role in establishing VMware Tanzu’s prominence in the cloud-native domain and founded the VMware Kubernetes community. Oren is also a lecturer on the technological aspects of CISO courses and holds a master’s degree in managing startups and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and technologies.
