This accessibility statement applies to CMISGo.
The University uses CMISGo, a room booking system for centrally bookable spaces. The availability is displayed in near real-time, and space is provisionally reserved at the time of request.
CMISGo is not used to book teaching events. CMISGo bookings will not appear on students' timetables.
The CMISGo application can be accessed through Desktop@UCL Anywhere or by using Cisco AnyConnect VPN. The CMISGo application is web browser based.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this application, which means that you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate the application using just a keyboard
- navigate the application using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the application using a screen reader
There are a number of customisation options for your browser and device that could help you use this application and other applications more effectively. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

As part of ongoing usability improvements beyond WCAG, issues with very small text were found on some elements across the application, so users with low vision may currently find them difficult to read.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
Custom themes and colours that can be changed by customers/users
Where the product allows for custom colour changes, Advanced cannot be held responsible for any colours that have been changed by any customers/users where there is or could be an impact on the accessibility of the product. To guarantee at least an AA level of colour contrast, please ensure your colour scheme is the default theme of the product.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Throughout Advanced we are working to ensure that all products are at least WCAG AA compliant. In some areas this may not be currently possible. However, where we do not currently have compliance, a plan to be compliant is in place.
We are always working on improving our accessibility, however at times we are limited by what technologies are available to us. These will be highlighted within this policy.
At UCL we are currently in the process of procuring a new timetabling solution to replace CMISGo (currently at the Request for Information stage) and accessibility has been integrated into our procurement practices.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 18 September 2024. It was last reviewed on 18 September 2024. This application was last tested on 1 January 2023. The test was carried out by Advanced Limited internally. Each area of the website was tested: Timetable displays, Bookings, Data, Reports and Configurations. The Wave web accessibility evaluation tool plugin and the W3C Markup Validation services were used to test all pages.
