Shadowing Opportunity: Tribunal Judge Nicholas Easterman

Applications are now closed.

Tribunal Judge Nicholas Easterman is a Diversity and Community Relations Judge (DCRJ) located in the First-tier Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber (Hatton Cross).

We are excited to announce that Tribunal Judge Easterman has kindly offered selected UCL Laws Students the opportunity to sit with him for a day in order to gain first-hand experience of an Immigration Tribunal. This will be a unique and valuable opportunity for students to gain direct experience and knowledge of real life court hearings from the perspective of a Judge. Please note that the length of a 'day' in a courtroom can be variable, but you should only indicate that you are available if you are free for the whole day and do not have any scheduled classes.

Please note that because these are hearings of live cases, the dates are prone to cancellation and being rescheduled. It is therefore possible that if you are selected, your sitting day may be cancelled at the last minute. Unfortunately, there will be little we can do to change this, however if further sitting dates become available, we will prioritise you for those.

Applications are currently closed.

Please also ensure you complete the anonymous Equality and Diversity questionnaire when you apply, available here.
