Award Nomination for the UCL Centre for Access to Justice

We are proud to announce that the UCL Centre for Access to Justice has been shortlisted for the 2021 LawWorks and Attorney General’s Student Pro Bono Awards. The awards celebrate the best pro bono activities undertaken by law students and law schools, and the Centre has been shortlisted under the category of Best Contribution by a Law School.

The Centre combines legal education with the provision of pro bono advice to vulnerable communities through the integrated legal advice clinic (UCL iLAC). UCL iLAC is staffed by UCL Laws students working under the supervision of experienced, qualified advisers and solicitors. 

The Centre also coordinates pro bono projects with a range of partners to maximise the opportunities students have for engaging in meaningful activities alongside their studies.

But, above all, thank you to all those nominated for their commitment to helping those in need of legal support."

The winners will be announced at a remote awards ceremony on May 12th with the Attorney General, the Rt Hon. Michal Ellis QC MP.
