Hey guys! I have been a member of the SPBC for the past two years, and am very excited to take on the role of Executive Chair. I have enjoyed working closely with the Centre of Access to Justice, and want to continue growing interest and enthusiasm for pro bono at UCL. I look forward to seeing you all at the wonderful events coming up!

Careers Officer (Events)

Hey everyone! I’m Anoushka and I’ll be the Careers Officer for Events, alongside Emily. This year, my primary goal is to expand the scope of careers events the SPBC offers and hold insightful panels and discussions to cater to a wide spectrum of interests. I look forward to seeing all of you there! 

Emily Baker
Careers Officer (Opportunities)

Hi there! My name is Emily, and I will be the Careers Opportunities officer alongside Anoushka. I am enthusiastic about all things pro bono, including volunteering and collaborating. My task is to keep updating the public interest careers table available on the CAJ website, and hopefully provide more opportunities as the year progresses! 

Jude Alberry 
Events Officer

I’m Jude and I’m your Events Officer this year. I am always eager to share my pro bono experiences, as an important connection between law and the socio-economic environment it exists within. Pro bono is an opportunity for genuine legal involvement and to fulfil our responsibilities as aspiring lawyers.  

My goals for this year are being able to include a wide range of legal fields in events, increase engagement in legal aid and share my passion through events I plan for SPBC!

Publications Officer
Hey everyone! I’m Hanzade and I will be your Publications Officer this year. Along with continuing the wide range of publications that highlight pro bono opportunities and issues surrounding access to justice, I aim to provide insight into UCL Centre for Access to Justice’s pro bono opportunities through interviews with volunteers and pieces about upcoming/current placements.

Hi guys! My name is Luvya and this year I am a part of the SPBC publications subcommittee. I am excited to contribute to the CAJ blog and encourage others to do so, with the aim to increase engagement with and raise awareness of the opportunities available within pro bono publications.

Social Media and Campaigns Officer
Hi everyone! I’m Chelsea, and I’m excited to be working with the SPBC this year as one of the Social Media and Campaigns Officers. The strong commitment within the UCL community towards developing an interest in pro bono amongst law students is truly inspiring, and I’m keen on using my experience in this field to promote the amazing events and opportunities that the Committee has to offer all year around.

Hey everyone! After doing a few pro bono schemes last year, I am now super excited to be taking on the role of Social Media and Campaigns Officer along with Chelsea. Equal access to justice is crucial to me, and I can’t wait to use social media for such a meaningful cause! I really look forward to promoting opportunities to all of you and I hope our pages will be a useful tool for you :)

First Year Representative

Hi everyone! I'm Emi and I'm excited to be one of the First Year Representatives at SPBC this year. I'm passionate about imbedding service into my academic experience at UCL, and I hope to take full advantage of my access to ample resources and  community to give back to the marginalised. Through this role, I hope to increase exposure to both internal and external pro-bono events, address concerns you may have and to encourage involvement in the myriad of invaluable opportunities offered by SPBC. 

Minah Park
First Year Representative

Hi! I'm Minah, one of the two First-Year LLB Engagement Officers. This year, I'll be working with Emi to get more first-year students involved in the pro bono activities offered through the CAJ.

My goal is to make pro bono more engaging by actively gathering and representing the first-year student body’s recommendations on SPBC events. I hope to make all opportunities accessible by sharing events and volunteer roles!

LLM Engagement Officer

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I’m the LLM Engagement Officer for this year. Having seen the incredible impacts of pro bono on the wider community, I’m excited to raise awareness about the opportunities available with the SPBC and how LLM students can get involved.
