Changes to the Academic Manual for Covid-19

Information about temporary changes to the regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic

For 2020-21 we are generally returning to the normal regulations in the UCL Academic Manual. However, some additional arrangements have been put in place to help us support students through social distancing, remote and blended learning, and the potential need to self-isolate. For 2020-21 this includes:

No Detriment Classification for 2019/20 Assessments
Maintaining academic standards while reducing administrative burden in 2020-21
Enhanced Extenuating Circumstances procedure for 2020-21
Covid-19 Academic Misconduct Changes 2020-21
Complaints about Covid-19

This page will be updated regularly with any changes to the regulations for the coming year.

For 2019-20, a range of support measures were put in place to support students affected by Covid-19. These measures still apply to PGT students writing up their dissertations and during the January Resit Period:

Covid-19 Extenuating Circumstances Procedure for 2019-20
Exceptional amendments to Academic Regulations for 2019-20 assessments
Operation of alternative assessments, Third Term and Late Summer Assessments 2020
