Become a Faculty Lead Green Champion
Each Faculty has a Lead Green Champion to support departmental Green Champions in completing the Green Impact workbook to help make offices more sustainable.
We need the support of all departments, staff and students to deliver on our sustainability commitments as set out in our strategy.
Role of the Faculty Lead Green Champions
A Faculty Lead Green Champion is a voluntary position for experienced members of staff who have completed the sustainability behaviour change programme Green Impact. Their role is to support others to start their sustainability journey through participating in Green Impact. This support would take the following forms:
- Communicating to their faculty that they are the Lead Green Champion and what the role entails.
- Recruiting new teams and helping to set them up.
- Updating the tracking document on MS TEAMS for Green Impact and LEAF teams.
- Answering queries from Green Champions and forwarding them onto Dan when unable to answer.
- Managing a faculty Green Impact group via TEAMS or equivalent.
- Checking in with teams at least once a term via email or equivalent.
- Developing faculty-wide sustainability initiatives.
- Passing contacts onto the Sustainability Labs Advisor if staff would like to join LEAF.
- Encouraging staff to attend and nominate others for the Annual Sustainability Awards.
