Professor Sandra Leaton Gray

Professor Sandra Leaton Gray is an applied educational sociologist and Professor of Education Futures at the UCL Institute of Education. She teaches postgraduates, and is Academic Head of Learning and Teaching in the UCL Institute of Education’s Centre for Doctoral Education. Her research field is in the area of Critical Digital Education, including issues surrounding the knowledge economy, data privacy, AI development and adoption, biometrics, 6G, artificial and human intelligence and contemporary school curricula.
Professor Leaton Gray has served as a consultant and expert advisor to a large number of international organisations including the UK Government, the EU Commission, the OECD, UNICEF and the Biometrics Institute covering children in the digital age, AI upskilling, and the development of education foresight studies.
