Eye amulet

This moulded faience amulet represents the protective wedjet eye. With the elongated line at the end of the eye and markings below, it was made to resemble the eye of the falcon god Horus.

This eye was placed on a mummy, if you turn it fully around you can see the undecorated back suggesting it was made to be viewed only from the front.
