There is increasing recognition of the potential of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. With the growing use and adoption of BIM, AEC becomes a fountainhead for a flow of 3D spatial data. Often rich in content, with higher levels of development BIM can be an invaluable source of data not only addressing AEC objectives but also other domains that use 3D information.
The effective integration of data produced through BIM workflows in GIS provides an opportunity for many domains including architecture, urban planning, disaster management, infrastructure engineering, facilities management, construction, policy and decision making.
With this in mind, The University of Melbourne and University College London are pleased to invite you to participate in the 3rd International BIM GIS Integration workshop which will be held just prior to 3DGeoInfo 2020.
