Management Information Programme

The Transforming Management Information (MI) programme aims to improve decision-making in support of our academic mission. 

MI will provide a single version of the truth, be intuitive and engaging and be available at the right time, at the touch of a button.

During the financial year 2015–16 a joint team from the Planning and Information Services Divisions undertook extensive research to understand the needs of our users. This included interviews with more than 80 stakeholders across the university and visits to four UK universities who are leading in this field.

We are now launching an ambitious programme of improvement. This involves the development of a new integrated data warehouse, improvements to the ways that we manage data and, critically, a series of new management information products and services in areas identified by internal customers as high priority.
