My dissertation [.pdf 1.10 MB], with Dr. Jinghao Xue, is on the multivariate regression on multi-label classification. I have built a classifier, in MATLAB, which fits the multivariate logistic regression onto multi-label data using Fisher's scoring algorithm, with the aid of Bayesian smoothing. The order used in the multivariate logistic regression set what orders of correlation between labels to be modelled in the regression. I have found that the high order model fitted with the data better, however there was evidence of overfitting, As a result, this placed great importance in model selection in order to select an appropriate order to be used for multivariate logisitc regression.

My dissertation [.pdf 8.55 MB], with Professor Ian Robinson as my supervisor, was on using computing and statistical data analysis in 3D imaging of a human chromosome. I have programmed the marching cubes algorithm, in Processing, to produce a volume visual of the chromosome. In addition, I have used a maxima search to find evidence of 30 nm chromatin fibres. Each maxima was modelled as a sphere to see if they form coils and to estimate the number of base pairs in the chromosome.

I also gave a 15 minute presentation [.pdf 2.63 MB] on my project. The animations of the 3D render from the presentation can be viewed here:
