The evolution of parental care strategies
We use a combination of large-scale manipulative field experiments, microsatellite-based genetic work and mathematical modelling to investigate four main study systems:
Spanish paper-wasps (Polistes)
UK populations of sweat bees (Halictidae)
UK populations of digger wasps (Sphecidae)
Tropical hover wasps (Stenogastrinae)
Our research is funded primarily by NERC, together with BBSRC and the Nuffield Foundation.
