notices

1st Sept. Notices relating to lectures will be posted here. Watch this space! Notices relating to tutorials and other such activities will be found on the tutorial page. Please notify me early of any timetable clashes in case something can be done. There is no clash between the 5.00 p.m. Tuesday lecture and the B200 practical.

10th Oct. From now on, all lectures will take place in the Haldane Lecture Theatre (in Wolfson House) except Mondays when the venue is the Basment Lecture Theatre at 1-19 Torrington Place.

10th Oct. I do not know how it happened, nor how I missed it, but many times for the Thursday lectures were incorrectly given below.  They should all be at 12 noon as is now correctly stated below and not 4 p.m.  I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this stupid mistake.
20th Oct. I have placed a copy of today's lecture on the web.  You can get to it by clicking on the link below as usual.  If viewed in Internet Explorer (but not in Firefox) it now allows at least the first of the two movies to run.  The second still does not work.  I'm working on it!
20th Oct. As circulated this morning by email, I am repeating Thursday lectures at 4 pm for those who have a timetable clash.  Today's repeat lecture will be in the Haldane LT.  Subsequent repeat lectures will take place in room 301 in Wolfson House.
