The Middlesex Hospital Vascular Laboratory is a non-invasive techniques laboratory for the clinical investigation of patients with vascular diseases including:
The laboratory studies patients with these diseases using colour duplex ultrasonography, Doppler ultrasound and plethysmographic techniques. We do not perform any investigations involving the use of X-rays or radio-isotopes. Generally, tests do no not involve the use of needles or methods which may cause discomfort to patients.
Written requests for the investigation of patients are accepted from hospital consultants and general practitioners. Please send correspondence to the address at the top of this page. NHS and private patients may be investigated.
In cases where treatment as well as investigation is required, please address referrals to Mr JH Scurr FRCS or Mr PD Coleridge Smith at The Middlesex Hospital.
