Current research

My current research interests are focused on the developmental mechanisms that regulate choroid fissure fusion. In particular, I am interested in resolving the cellular behaviours underlying fissure closure by high-resolution 4D confocal imaging of retinal cells in normal conditions and in disease models. In addition, I aim to identify potential regulators of fissure fusion and gain insight into the genetic pathways regulating this process.
