It is an excellent opportunity for you to find out more about Leading Women and what we will offer this year - and there will be free food and beverages too. BNY will be giving a CV workshop followed by an exclusive networking session afterwards at our wine reception.

2012 Tastercourse successful

On Tuesday 3rd July the Faculty of Engineering Sciences ran a Women in Engineering Taster (WET) course, coordinated by Dr Luiza Campos (l.campos@ucl.ac.uk) and supported mainly by an enthusiastic female team drawn from seven UCL engineering departments. The WET is a 1-day programme offered to 70 Year 12 girls from schools in London, and aims to encourage and motivate them to study engineering at UCL.

Tastercourse 'Women in Engineering' for year 12 pupils announced for 3 July 2012 at UCL

UCL Outreach has announced the next dates for the Taster Courses in 2012. We will run the annual Taster Course 'Women in Engineering' for Year 12 pupils to experience Engineering Sciences at UCL on July 3rd 2012. The day-long course includes a tour through our different departments, hands-on experience and a fun quiz at the end of the day. A detailed program will come out in June 2012.

Funded by the Equalities office, the site will provide support for women looking to study engineering, female staff at UCL Engineering, and lady engineers in their future careers. To celebrate the website going live, we will be holding a reception in the North Cloisters on November the 3rd, starting at 17.30.

Taster Course in Summer 2011 successful!

The Women in Engineering project, developed by the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, aims to increase the number of girls studying Engineering subjects at UCL. The Outreach Office is funding a "Women In Engineering" Taster Course for Year 12 students, which will feature inspiring lectures by successful women from different engineering disciplines and practical activities in each UCL engineering department.
